" Whence my Family" - Family reminiscences by James Backhouse Walker (handwritten in block copy, New Testament cover) and compact disc containing scan of original and photographs of the Walker Family ( W9/Ph 153 - blue album)
Unidentified daguerreotype in a plain leather and velvet case of a woman, seated, wearing bonnet with white ribbons and flowers, holding parasol, background of classical pillars, head lightly coloured.
Stereoscopic views (i.e. pairs of photographs, 2 & half ins. X 3 ins. Taken with twin lenses about 6 ins. apart and mounted to be viewed through a "stereoscope" to give a three dimensional effect). Most were made for general sale by S Clifford, Hobart Town (some also have the stamp of T Williamson, Chemist, or d'Emden, who presumably sold them). One is endorsed ms "M Allport 1862" (Queechy), a well-known amateur photographer, and a few are on plain, unprofessional mounts, one of these being initialed in pencil "J M W".

The panorama has been taken from Mr. Roberts' garden with various shrubs and a Norfolk Island pine in the foreground. Henry Hall Baily is the photographer. He had studios in Elizabeth and Liverpool Streets Hobart from 1865 until 1918.

The photographer's name, Woolley, is recorded in a note on the reverse and presumably refers to Charles Alfred.

Photographs of Lake St. Clair at the southern end of the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. Is part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. The Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair area was declared a scenic reserve in 1922, a wildlife reserve in 1927, a national park in 1947 and a world heritage area from 1982.
