John Grant. died Sunday 11 December and was interred on the Tuesday, John Grants.'s will; Caroline Grant to James Grant from Hobart - Spark's letter, business, case of umbrellas (1 December 2 copies cross written- one addressed to James Grant c/o John McLeod, Campbell Town, the other c/o Archibald Thomson, Launceston), from Sydney: arrived too late, John died, returning to James and the "little fellow", Dr Hood and Mr Bethune would be shocked at news, customary in England to send gloves to all friends of deceased- white as John single,Mr Sparks and Mr Bethune ought to be presented with mourning rings.

Certificate No. 5185 dated 2 May 1856 of the Court of Examiners that John William Hadden, V.D. Land, had been examined and admitted to membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Signed by the President, Vice-President and 6 others.

R. Allwood, Joshua Watson, NSW Government officials etc.

At the Freemantle stopover, her father received a letter from Francis Mather and Mr Gower asking him to take over at the Friends' School for 7 months while Mr Gower was in England

This collection consists of the papers of George Marshalland his grandson George Douglas Marshall who married Beatrice Terry granddaughter of Ralph Terry, of Lachlan Mills, New Norfolk, Tasmania so some papers of the Terry family papers are also included.

Sixteen photographs taken at times between 1934 and the 1970s. One is of Ruth at Sandy Bay presumably before leaving for England. Later photographs show Ruth on her honeymoon, horse riding (presumably in England) and, later still, at Eaglehawk Neck and Orford. There are several passport photographs and one studio portrait taken in England in 1945.

Seven photographs show either one or both of the Sansoms with Walter Stiasny and his wife, with members of the London verse speaking choir at a choir reunion in London in 1961 and with other groups of unidentified people.

Ruth Sansom also describes the Sansoms' holiday in the Tyrol and her work in a Jewish refugee school.
