Papers of Wilfred Hugh Hudspeth (1874-1952) married Mary R A. Leake

Sixteen photographs taken at times between 1934 and the 1970s. One is of Ruth at Sandy Bay presumably before leaving for England. Later photographs show Ruth on her honeymoon, horse riding (presumably in England) and, later still, at Eaglehawk Neck and Orford. There are several passport photographs and one studio portrait taken in England in 1945.

Seven photographs show either one or both of the Sansoms with Walter Stiasny and his wife, with members of the London verse speaking choir at a choir reunion in London in 1961 and with other groups of unidentified people.

The original document was buried under rocks in the Antarctic for 46 years. It has now been restored by the National Library of Australia, Canberra.

Copy of a biography of William Ebenezer Shoobridge published in serial form in the Examiner under the heading "Tasmanian Industries". It deals especially with his work in irrigating the hopfields on the Valleyfield and Bushy Park estates and later the orchards, the installation in 1908 of a hydro-electric plant for lighting and small electric appliances on the estate driven originally by an iron water wheel but later by a turbine, and his interest in the development of Hydro Electric Power in Tasmania and the first Hydro Electric Power station at Waddamana and the proposal for a Hydro-Electric Commission for Tasmania. It also refers to William Ebenezer Shoobridge's work in the development of orchard irrigation, pruning of fruit trees, export of apples and the Saaz drying process for hops and its use for drying or curing of lemons and other fruit (part 5, pages 10-11 missing). Also copy of brief biographical details sent to the Advocate.

Note on preaching a sermon, previously given at Port Esperance forty years earlier, at St. Johns Presbyterian Church, Macquarie St., Hobart, on his 70th birthday in November 1931.
